Maria Elena Bello, born April 18 1967 is an American actress and producer as well as writer. Permanent Midnight (1998) and Payback (1999), Coyote Ugly (2006), The Cooler (2004), A History of Violence (2006), The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor (2008). Grown Ups (2010), Prisoners (2013). Lights Out (2016). Bello was a TV star as Dr. Anna Del Amico, a medical drama that ran from 1997 until 1998. Bello also played Michelle McBride on Goliath's first season in 2016, and also as Special Agent Jacqueline Sloane on NCIS in which she was as the lead agent. Bello was born April 18, 1967 in Norristown Pennsylvania. She is the daughter of Kathy Bello, a nurse at school and teacher as well as Joe Bello, a contractor.Her father is Italian American, with roots in Montella, Italy, and her mother is Polish American.She was raised in a poor, Catholic family and graduated from Archbishop John Carroll High School in Radnor, Pennsylvania. Bello was a student of political science at Villanova University. Bello trained in acting in New York and continued to develop her talents after graduating. Bello was married to Dan McDermott and has a son named Jackson. Bello admitted in November 2013 that she was having an same-sex relationship with Clare Munn, her former partner. The book she published was titled Whatever...Love Is Loving: Examining the labels we assign to Others (Dey Street Books, April 28 in 2015).
